Memorial Day is the unofficial start of Summer. This is also the day that all spray-parks open for the Summer as well. So, for our first spray-park visit we went to one we had not been to before. This one is in Tacoma but it's very close to us and quite easy to get to. It's a straight shot once I get on the freeway. I have a feeling I will be taking Riley to this spray-park quite often during the week this Summer.
It was a little windy and a bit chilly. No one was getting wet at the spray-park so Riley decided to play at the playground instead ... for a while at least.
It was fun to watch him try to do this obstacle. He would laugh hard whenever he would lose his footing.
He tried the zipline. I was a little nervous he would fall once the zipline hit the end. I told him like ten times to hold on super tight. He did great. He tried it two more times but didn't want to go on it anymore because he said the rope hurt his tenders, lol.
This thing is cool. Someone pushes it and it goes round and round. By the the look on Riley's face it means that Jacob must have pushed it kind of hard.
After a while of playing at the playground Riley was hyped up enough to brave getting wet on this somewhat chilly day. He was scared of the water spray guns so he kept his distance from those.
This spray-ground runs on a timer so after what seemed like fifteen minutes it shuts off so one needs to press a button to get it started again. That's pretty cool. It was Riley the one who said that he wanted to dry out. That was a surprise. He must have been freezing, lol. By the time he was done getting wet there were about six more kids getting wet.
I dried out my frozen little guy and changed him into cozy sweats, a long sleeve and a hoody. He kept telling me, "I love you mommy". Aw, so sweet.
Once I got him comfy he had a snack. After he finished he went over to the grassy field to play football with Jacob and Nathan. I then read my book. I'm currently reading One Thousand Gifts.
We liked this spray-park. The only downside is that there's not much shade. I really need to buy a beach umbrella. Can you believe I don't have one?! Shocking!! I can't believe it myself.
For the entire Memorial Day weekend I was feeling very patriotic. I even created two Pandora stations; Patriotic Medley Radio and 4th of July Radio. The Patriotic Medley Radio station plays a lot of marching band music while the 4th of July Radio station plays a lot of oldies and big band. I love them both!!

Fun park!
