Ferry Ride To Bainbridge Island

On Labor Day we went to Bainbridge Island.
It had been 14 weeks since our last ferry ride.

It's still exciting driving onto the ferry and enjoying the ride.
The ferry is huge. Being inside the ferry makes me feel like if I'm in a movie, lol. It's SO cool!

The one thing I still want to do is taking a ferry ride in the late afternoon ... just before sunset. I bet the Seattle skyline looks so pretty at night!

This was the first time we had to wait more than ten minutes to catch the ferry. I think it was about 20 minutes. It was a very warm afternoon and one must turn off their car while we wait. No idling allowed. But about ten minutes before the ferry arrived Jacob turned the car on and the a/c because Riley was asleep and sweating a lot ... plus I also had a slight headache and needed cold air on my face.

My sister Claudia says that when she visits she doesn't want to ride the ferry. I guess she's got some ocean/water phobia and thinks the ferry is gonna sink and jaws is gonna eat her. LOL! I had to laugh. The ferry is equipped with life jackets. I doubt she'll drown ... however, I can't guarantee that there will be no sharks in the Puget Sound. How can you visit Seattle and not ride a ferry?! Just doesn't make sense. She's just gonna have to take the chance.

Sydna took this picture just as Riley had woken up from his nap. He wasn't in the mood for pictures. He yelled at her and gave her the stink face.

Leaving Seattle ... and on our way to Bainbridge Island.
Last time we were in Bainbridge Island was back in March when my mom came to visit.

After driving off the ferry we headed to a park and had a picnic. We were all hungry and I know Riley was hungry too but as soon as he saw the playground he wanted to go play. We had to rush to eat our subs because he kept whining and crying the entire time.

He did eat a few pieces of turkey and bread.

After we were done eating we walked over to the playground. It was a big nice wooden playground. There were quite a bit of kids but non were too rambunctious. Thank goodness for that!

Walking the plank.

Big sister watching over baby brother.

This guy ... always finding the opportunity to get his workout on.

And Sydna was having a hard time getting out of this rope ladder.

Riley's fearless ... Jacob was the one that was having a hard time staying on the rope ladder and not falling through.

To cool off we stopped to get some ice cream.
Got Jacob with his mouth open. He he!

And this little guy thinks it's ok to get a sample of everyone else's ice cream.

We made a quick stop at a grocery store to buy Riley more milk then we drove to the ferry terminal to get a ride back to Seattle. This time we had to wait an hour. It went by fast only because Riley was busy playing a game on Jacob's phone.

This time me, Jacob and Riley went out on the deck.
It was SO fresh!!!!

Riley didn't want to be held ... and Jacob was cold.

Walking back down to the car.

I forgot to say that on Thursday {Sept. 5th,13} Jacob and Nathan went to a preseason football game. The Seahawks played the Raiders. Seahawks won, 22-6. Glad they got to have a father son night out.

It's easy to say you're a Christian, the hard part is being one.

It is HARD to be Christlike especially when
I'm feeling overwhelmed with being a wife and mother.
BUT, I know He is working in me. I can feel it and it shows in my behavior.

Our Visit to San Diego for Labor Day Weekend

We left for San Diego on Friday right at 2:00 pm. We were all excited about our trip and of all the good food. The kids behaved themselves on the road. Nathan played his DS at times and Sydna read. We listened to George Strait's new CD ( Twang). It's good. I like all the songs except #9. My brother makes fun of me because I listen to country music but I would like to stress that there's only two country artists I listen to and besides George Strait I also like Garth Brooks. That's it. To me country music gives me the feeling of togetherness, family, cozyness, and tradition. But anyway, here are the photos of our current trip back home.

Wind was blowing pretty hard as you can see

This is my family, well most of them. Here we are at a laser tag/arcade place part of Nathan's birthday celebration.

Sydna and pumpkin, my brother's dog. She's a very sweet dog, constantly has a doggy toy in her mouth ready to play.
