Once the weekend arrived Riley was more than ready to go fly his new pterodactyl kite. We went to Discovery Park. The sky was gorgeous! The weather was nice and cool.
Jacob putting the kite together.
He got it up in the air in no time. I could hear Riley laughing and saying, "it's super cool huh?!"
Jacob took this next picture. I was sitting up on the hill with Sydna taking in my surroundings.
As I kept looking at the kite I was wondering why it didn't have a tail/ribbons then I realized that Jacob had failed to take off the rubber bands that were tied on to the ribbons.
So I walked over and took them off. There. Now it looks as it should. Very cool!
Riley had fun flying his kite. I'm sure we'll do this several more times before it gets too cold.
Jacob and I think it's funny that Riley knows certain areas around Seattle. Like when we're by the waterfront or near the Space Needle he knows that Pagliacci is in that area and always asks for pizza. Or he'll start talking about the time family visited and we took them to the place we're visiting or driving by at the time. He's got such great memory.
After the park we went to eat at Spaghetti Factory. My favorite restaurant when it comes to lasagna. Their salad with pesto dressing is delicious.
As we got closer to the restaurant we saw that there was a hemp rally going on. Tons of people crossing the street. We didn't know about this or else we wouldn't have driven through here and eaten at this location. I couldn't believe that some parents would take their small children to these type of rallies plus, I saw several pregnant women going to it too. That type of environment is just simply not my thing. There was also Christian people holding signs and talking on loud speakers. Lots of police patrolling and supervising the area. Good thing that we didn't have any plans to hang out by the waterfront on this day. Inside the restaurant was calm and after we were done eating we left that area.
I never tire of this view though. The Puget Sound is truly fascinating!
